Cara & Lee Durman's Wedding at Landscove

Cara & Lee's wedding day ceremony service was held at St Matthew's Church in the beautiful South Devon village of Landscove, Saturday, 11th June 2016. The church was styled with a romantic, woodland theme of natural leafy green foliage, with ivory, blue & lilac tonal flowers. Cara held a gathered, woodland style bridal bouquet of mixed foliage, herbs and seasonal flowers, including clematis, freesias, delphinium, lavender, eryngium, oregano, flowering mint, astrantia, bupleurum, forget-me-not's, salvia, thylaspi, jasmine, nigella, roses, feverfew, astilbe... With the groom's Scottish heritage, the obligatory thistles were incorporated into all the designs, including his bouquet garni buttonhole.

Father & daughter were greeted by a surprise mode of transport; horse & carriage with two coach drivers (Mother & daughter team). They were driven a short distance from the wedding venue, Anran Barn to St Matthews; The surprise was arranged by Cara's aunt, Sue Rowland, who requested Blue Geranium to provide some floral decoration and add that extra special wow factor.

At the entrance of the church to greet the guest were two classical pedestals & urns, dressed with natural, woodland style arrangements of neutral tones, with hints of blue, lilac and purple and lots of lush green foliage. The aisle pew-ends were decorated with coordinating, hanging woodland arrangements, the transept was framed with two additional classical pedestal & urns and a long & low arrangement for the Altar. Unfortunately too dark for me to capture and image.

Following the church service, the happy couple & guests continued the celebrations at Anran Barn, a former dairy farm, on the outskirts of Landscove. The venue comprises of beautifully converted farmhouse with stylish, contemporary & unique guest accommodation with a splendid, naturally lit and ventilated reception space known as the Glasshouse. The guest tables and top table were decorated with flowers that were initially used at the church service; pew-ends reused on cut sections of tree trunks to add a little height on the table for the woodland arrangements and the top table was decorated with the long & low arrangement initially placed on the Altar. The classical pedestal & urns were distributed for display around the glasshouse for maximum effect.
